I woke up on New Year’s Day this year and after sleeping yet another night on our caved in, squeaky old bed and told my husband, this is the year we HAVE to buy a new mattress. Seeing that the lifespan of a mattress is typically 7 – 10 years, and ours was close to 14 years old, we were long overdue.
We kept putting it off because honestly, the thought of entering a mattress showroom and a sea of white mattresses all seemingly similar lined up in a row was overwhelming to me. Innerspring vs. memory foam. Plush vs. firm. Tons of different brands and prices. Where do you even start?
So it was completely serendipitous that this past week I was invited with nine other bloggers to visit Chicago to see the new iComfort Sleep Systems by Serta and had the opportunity to learn all about their revolutionary new memory foam mattresses.
I actually had never even laid on a memory foam mattress before in my life and knew nothing about them. But now after testing them out and feeling the difference from my head to my toes, I have to say their iComfort beds are the GREATEST invention to me since sliced bread and DVR!
