Best Family-Friendly Fiji Resorts

I asked Melissa, the owner of Fiji Vacations who has personally visited ever single resort in Fiji to share her opinion of her top 5 best family-friendly Fiji resorts. She knows what to look for because she has a young son and has traveled to Fiji with him numerous times. Here are her picks!

1. Castaway Island, Fiji 

Castaway Island, Fiji is a pristine private island 4 star resort in the heart of Fiji’s Mamanuca Island group. The 174 acre island is covered in rich tropical rainforest and surrounded by white sand beaches, vibrant coral reefs and sparkling South Pacific waters.

Voted the BEST Overseas Family Resort by Luxury Travel Magazine, the Castaway Kid’s club (ages 3+ – FREE) is open from 9:00am until 10:00pm every day. The resort has a separate family pool area and great options for even fussy eaters.

2. Jean Michel Cousteau Resort 

Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort is located on 17 flourishing acres of a former coconut plantation tucked away on a private peninsula overlooking Savusavu Bay and the Koro Sea.

The Bula Club kid’s club is a free program featuring a full schedule of fun activities that encourage kids to explore the Fijian culture and environment. Bula Club has separate programs for children under 5 and those between 6-12.

3. Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa

Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, located on one of the world’s best beaches, offers five-star luxury on the white sands of Natadola Beach.

The property boasts 6 restaurants and bars, spa, golf course, 4 swimming pools and fabulous kids’ club.

Their Planet Trekkers Kids Club is designed to entertain young kids and has two distinct age groups for different activities for kids ages 3-7 and  8-12. Kids under 4 may attend Planet Trekkers in the company of a resort Nanny.

4. Mana Island Resort Fiji

Mana Island Resort is nestled between two of the best beaches to be found in the Mamanuca Group, situated in lush tropical paradise amongst white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters.

Their Kids Club is open for 3 different sessions during the day where children get to experience Fijian culture, nature walks and traditional games. Ages 3 – 12 years.

The resort also offers a Mei Mei Centre for babysitting. Parents can take advantage of five FREE hours of babysitting per day for guests staying a minimum of 5 nights.

5. Vomo Island Resort 

Vomo Island Resort has been considered the hidden jewel of the Fijian Islands with its peaceful ambiance and stunning natural beauty.

Consisting of 29 Luxury Villas and two private residences with private pools, Vomo Island Resort offers 5-star accommodations and service. Rates are inclusive of all food and non-alcoholic beverages during meal times, arrival wine, WiFi, daily laundry, non-motorized sports and daily snorkeling trips.

Vomo’s Kids Village is open daily and is Vomo’s dedicated facility catering to young guests. Accessed by a fun suspension bridge, the air-conditioned facility has a playroom for kids under 4, media room, undercover play areas, dress up and craft tables. Kids under 4 must be accompanied by a baby butler or nanny.

For children 10 years and above, Vomo now offers PADI certified diving course called the Bubble Blowers Course where experts will direct them through the steps necessary to learn to navigate the underwater world.
