Last Friday Susanne and I had the opportunity to take our girls to the new Boomers Water Park in Irvine, Buccaneer Cove, and we had a splash-tastic time!
Buccaneer Cove is the newest attraction at Boomers, a 20,000 square foot water park including big splash pad, five level structure with six slippery slides, tunnels, spray loops and splash bucket.
It is open daily through Labor Day and will be open weekends in September. Semi-private cabanas with food service are also available for all day rental at an additional fee. You are also able to have birthday parties at Buccaneer Cove!
We loved that it was a gated in area, with one way in and out.
The structure is huge, but the entire area is not, so Susanne and I were able to relax in a lounge chair and watch the girls as they splashed and played.
The structure has several big slides (must be 36″ tall to ride), and a kiddie slide for little ones under 36″ with parent supervision. Even Susanne and I had to take a ride down the big yellow slide. SO fun. Felt like being a kid again!
Something to note: No hair ties, necklaces, earrings or more than one ring are permitted on the slides so leave the jewelry at home ladies!
Here is the kiddie slide…
The Boomers Water Park is, in my opinion, geared towards younger kids, I would say roughly 12 and under. Little ones that are not adventurous will have fun on the splash pad, but older kids will go crazy for the big slides.
There are also warm outdoor showers, so you can bring a change of clothes to rinse and then change your kiddos afterwards.
The price for a Buccaneer Cove ticket runs $19.99. But I just saw if you “Like” Boomers Irvine on Facebook, you can print a Buccaneer Cove coupon good for $4 off admission.
You can also add the Buccaneer Cove admission to the all attraction Boomers Champ Pass for just $10, for a ticket price of $36.99 when purchased online (or $39.99 at the gate.)
The Champ Pass includes 4 hours unlimited attractions plus $5 in video play.
