Discovery Science Center is seeking out delectable creativity from families, children, adults, businesses and organizations in their annual 2009 Gingerbread Contest! If you like sweets and adventure, try your hand at creating a delicious masterpiece out of gingerbread, icing and other edibles.
Tiny Oranges is going to take a stab at it this year. Wish me luck! It will be the first gingerbread house I have made since I was about 8 years old. I will just have to keep a close eye out for a little mouse named Emma when my back is turned. Don’t you remember just how irresistible a gingerbread house looked when you were little? I wanted to live in one!
Here are the details on this delicious competition!
* All participants will be invited to an exclusive Gingerbread party to kick off the festivities!
* Unique holiday team building experience for your organization or family
* Opportunity to display your logo/organization in Discovery Science Center for 6 weeks
* Chance to win cash prizes!
Dates and Deadlines:
* Nov. 23rd – 30th, 2009: Bring your creation to Discovery Science Center (11am – 4pm)
* Nov. 23rd, 2009 – Jan. 3rd, 2010 : Gingerbread Houses will be on display. Visit The Science of Gingerbread Exhibit to check them out along with a bunch of other fun, hands-on activities.
* Dec. 2nd & 3rd, 2009: Judging and Winner Announcement
