I am a daily SPF wearer on the endless pursuit of the best sunscreen. One of my criteria for a daily sunscreen is one that doesn’s SMELL like sunscreen. If I am wearing it around the house, to the park, on errands, etc. I don’t want to smell like I am going to the beach!
Recently I found a new favorite by a local company called Smart Girls Who Surf! I was excited to discover the Smart Girls Who Surf’s SPF 30+, because theirs is not only totally natural and free of chemicals and paraben, but it also smells lovely!
I didn’t always used to be so careful with my skin. Back in high school I remember wearing SPF 4 OIL at the beach. Oh the HORROR! But when my dad got diagnosed with stage one melanoma about 9 years ago (thankfully it was caught early), I realized that with my family history and my fair complexion, protecting my skin every day was no longer optional.
Things will be different for my girls – no tanning oil for them! They are growing up slathering on sunscreen even for quick jaunts to the park or for playing in the backyard. Therefore, I want to make sure the products I am putting on them (and myself) are clean and non toxic.
All the Smart Girls Who Surf sun products are completely natural, loaded with antioxidants, chemical free, water-resistant and won’t sting your eyes. Seriously “Clean Screen!”

I’m going to have to give this a try. I usually just use the copportone stuff but my daughter hates the smell of it. We are heading on an outing at least twice a week and sunscreen is an essential. This would be perfect!
