Tera Rae Stephens Giveaway!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a great celebration!

I can’t think of a better way to KICK off 2011 than with a super fabulous giveaway by the super fabulous OC hair stylist Tera Rae Stephens of Tek Salon! Tera is giving away $300 worth of  hair services so you can go into the new year with a new look!

Tera is my hair stylist and she is the most talented person I have every been to – her cuts and color is unparalleled. Tera recently started offering the Keratin Complex Express Blowout, which at $150 is half the cost of the traditional Keratin.   I have now had two Express treatments as well as my first traditional so I can talk to the benefits of both!

Here is what the Express Blowout offers you…

1. Quicker blow dry time.  The Express treatment took my blow dry time from 9 minutes to 5.5 minutes.
2. Quicker process. The Express treatment takes on average 1 hour vs. 2 to 3 hours for the traditional Keratin treatment.
3. Quicker wait to wash time. You don’t have to wait 3 days to wash your hair with the Express – you can wash it the very next day or as short as 8 hours after.
4. Lasts 6 – 8 weeks vs. 3 -5 months for the traditional.

While the Express is half the cost it also only lasts half the amount of time.  I found that to be about right for me, I would say I could tell it was wearing off around 6 weeks, and by the 7th week, I was clamoring to get an appointment to get another one.   My traditional one lasted at least 3 1/2 months as I went a full 5 months before getting another one.

The traditional Keratin in my opinion worked a little better as far as seeing an extreme result.  I didn’t even have to use a flat iron once until after 3 months.  With the Express, it still makes your hair super smooth and calms the frizz, it is like I said, just not quite as extreme.  I still have to pull out the flat iron here and there, but overall I love it!   I also love that the process is FASTER!

And either way, Express or Traditional, if you want smooth, silky hair and need help with your frizz, you will love it – I promise!!!

  16. I really need a professional treatment. I can’t remember when if ever I had a professional stylist give me their honest opinion a to what I really need. It seems like everyone is afraid, and just want to do what I tell them. I need an expert!

I need it all – a decent cut, color all over redone (I’ve been doing my own at home for over a year now and even Grandma has commented on it, and not positively), and I did just have a Brazilian Blowout in early December, but could probably use an Express Keratin treatment by the end of March! 🙂

  49. I keep telling myself I will go and get a haircut and color. I have told myself this since Feb 2010 when my son was born. I still have not gone to do anything for my hair! I know if I got my hair done it will boost my confidence and good to start new and search for a job since i’m laid off. I would get color/cut and style 🙂 I have frizzy hair too so I might possibly be interested in the express blowout..i’m a little nervous though. 🙂
